So yeah if didn't noticed, I've decided to not put in any plugins until we've reached the right time. So that means no Knights of the Desert Eagles. Plugins will leave as times change so if you don't like the current plugins, then just try to move forward in time. The next step would be colonization of the New World and globalization of trade.

If anyone has guns that they've made, keep them safe since they'll return later.

Last Day of School/ First Day of Block-a-Thon

Today was the last day of school for the current blog authors. So yeah, that means now we can play Minecraft all day and have no lives. I will try to have the server up 24/7 but that is no guarantee.

The History of the Universe... In Minecraft

A while ago, I decided that our Minecraft server would follow the history of civilization, starting with the human race migrating to different parts of the world. Well I fould this video of the history of the the universe, represented in a Minecraft world.

As for the server, here are the major events that I see happening (subject to change as different events take place):

• Migration of humans (done)
• Creation of agriculture (done)
• Religions (done)
• Civilizations are formed (done)
• Dark Ages (done)
• Middle Ages (not yet)
• Development of guns (Jake discovered the recipe for a pistol.)
• Colonization of New Worlds/ Global Trade (not yet)
• Nation forming (not yet)
• Industrial Revolution (all the feautures are there, people just need to find them. I'm also expecting a giant railroad system around this time.)
• Modernization (not yet. Some things would include global communication, factory farming, and better transportation than the wooden boat.)
• The Future (??? Maybe a post apocalypic zombie outbreak? Maybe robot enslaving humanity? Who knows?)

Server Plugin List (Updated)

Hi guys so to keep everyone in the loop of what plugins are running and what features are part of the server, I'm posting a list of all the plugins in use as of now. Once again, if anyone would like a plugin added, just comment below.

Server Computer

Okay so right now the server is running Bukkit with Spout using 1.2.5 R2.0. That's all fine and dandy, but for some reason it won't run on the normal server computer. Until I can find a solution, the server will be running on the alternate computer. Sorry about the inconvenience, and I also apologize about the lag increase now.

I'm working as fast as I can, please don't hurt me!

Even though the poll said that most people would prefer Tekkit, I'm switching back to Bukkit for multiple reasons. The main one is lag. No one likes lag, and the features in the Technic Pack can be compromised since no one could play anyways. Okay so I decided that instead of just going back to the old server, I'm going to redo the entire thing. Not only am I redoing the entire server, but I'm going to make sure everything is optimal as possible.If anyone wants to suggest a plugin now, feel free to do so. BTW Matt, Tekkit isn't gone forever unless no one wants me to put it up again. After the page break I am posting all my progress, so check this post every day for updates.

I begin with no end in mind for sure, just jump into it, until I'm waist deep in an ocean of shit, then just keep on trucking.  Also it is true, everything is a competition, you are allowed to let others have a consolation prize, like a participant trophy, it just can't be better than your first prize.  Lastly, wearing yourself out is definitely a good thing, it makes you better, no pain no gain.  Now for an anecdote about wearing yourself out, the last track meet, I had a popped blister on my hand from Monday's practice.  When I got in my warm-up vaults, it popped.  I persevered and pushed through the pain and ended up clearing nine feet, a whole foot higher than my personal record and enough to get me into leagues. (I was an alternate 3 and ended up not going, but that's another story for another day)

Okay, so I just took out all the My Little Pony posts that had nothing to do with Minecraft and moved them here. I have sent author invites to all the authors from this blog so that they can continue posting ponies over on the other blog.

[Quest] Four Chords

Okay so in this video of the Axis of Awesome, the pianist says that a lot of popular songs use the same four chords. I'm trying to figure out what those four chords are. If anyone can help me with this quest, then I would greatly appreciate it. Once I can figure out the four chords I'm going on the second part of the quest, which is record a medley of as many songs using the four chords as possible. [RAGE] Minecraft, Y U no look like this without that awful lag!

I was checking up on my subscriptions and ran across a minecraft creative clone that looks amazing. Normally I wouldn't like this kind of thing, it isn't very unique and rips off minecraft's success, but this is just so FREAKING GORGEOUS! Minetest

Beautiful Graphics minus the lag.

Minetest is a Minecraft clone. The difference is it is written in C++ not Java. It also has much cleaner code than Minecraft. I'm going to download and try it when I get time and write a review. At the moment it is lacking a lot of features that Minecraft has though.

Remember when the goal was to make a city and go to the moon in the Bukkit server? This is pretty much the same thing but with a storyline, guidelines, and objectives. [New Feature] Religions

 
There is no plugin for this yet, but in a Minecraft forum topic they had three different religion paths to follow. I think everyone should pick one and comment below what they will follow. I'll try finding a plugin to better implement cubeaism into the server.
