Camping Over The Weekend

Hi all,

So I'm going to be camping over the weekend (as the title says) and that means the server won't be up. In the meantime, Bfong and Matt both have a server so go on one of those in vanilla Minecraft (like a noob). I'll be back Sunday night and the server will be up then.

As you all know I wanted to post something on the Hack/mine forum.

I did, and it is, as of when this was posted, on the back page of comments in the Minecraft forum (NOT the Yogscast one) I will post the actual text here, plus the modder's comment. If you don't believe it from this post, look in the forum.

Also: do you think Nam should add a douchery and a win tag?

[Texture Pack] Steampunk

Okay so Pony Craft already has its own post tag, but I'm now introducing the [Steampunk] tag. This will be used whenever I post an update pic on me and Bfong's progress on it. I jsut downloaded and got it running with Tekkit, and will be working on this in the future since a lot of items have yet to be textured. It's a huge contrast to Pony Craft though, this one being much darker. And HD.

[Mod] Mine Little Brony

This mod is what we all wanted from Mine Little Pony but didn't receive: actual game content related to MLP! The forum post has a full description of everything in it. It adds pony NPCs, zap apples and more! Unfortunately it is single player only. On the bright side, now everyone has a reason to play regular Minecraft again!

[Reccomendations] Yogventures

I'm sure we're all aware of the Yogscast (If not, then GTCO), but is everyone aware of their game?

Yogventures is currently pre-alpha in development and will be awesome. I have already sunk 25 dollars into it, so don't disappoint me. It is a multiplayer based game and, of course, I don't  want to be FOREVER ALONE.

EDIT: There are only about 10 days left in the kickstarter, so I'd get on the bandwagon soon if I were you

Hi all! So Bfong and I decided to make some Tekkit compatible texture packs. So far on our list is Steampunk and MLP. Right now we're reviewing MLP. We decided to start simple with a My Little Pony texture pack. I downloaded and sent Bfong Pony Craft 1.1 then we're now in the process of editing and add textures. I took this screenshot in SSP on Tekkit. Bfong will have more pics up later.

I found this mod with my free time being spent online (no life).

If you have heard of this mod already, convince Nam to make a poll! If not, just look up the development blog (On the Yogscast site) here. And search the mod up on youtube!

Who else thinks that we should include this with the server/ get Nam to set up a second one?

THE TECHNIC APOCALYPSE IS UPON US!

First off read this blog post on the Technic site and this forum post on the Technic forums. Now I know that Forestry isn't that big a deal to most of us since none of us have found a use for it yet, but it is extremely useful. Automatic wheat farms, automatic tree farms, and bee keeping! Forestry is not the main concern, but Buildcraft is.

The developer of Forestry is openly against the Technic Pack and one time returned a $50 donation from the Technic Pack devs. This developer is also part of the Buildcraft team, so if he got really persuasive he could make Buildcraft not compatible with the Technic Pack. I'm sure everyone knows the power and epicness of Buildcraft so I don't have to explain that. The removal of Buildcraft would result completely in the equivalent of an apocalypse. Luckily the Forestry dev isnt the only one in the Buildcraft project, and the lead dev of Buildcraft so far is not against Technic Pack at all. This means that only Forestry will be truly gone as of now.

To counter the lack of Forestry, this forum thread lists some rather complex solutions, some making use of programmable robots.

To counter the possible lack of Buildcraft people will... people will uh... people will *gulp* have to do things... manually...
